BELLOWS FALLS, VT — Vermed, Inc., manufacturer of quality cardiac monitoring and diagnostic electrodes, is newly contracted with the Premier healthcare alliance for distribution of its ECG electrodes, Defibrillation electrodes, Leadwire and Cables.
“We’re pleased with this agreement which provides Premier members access to our special pricing and terms on our specialty electrodes,” said Kristina Utton, vice president of US Sales for Vermed. “This includes our TenderTrode Plus line, which saves nursing time and resources with fewer electrode changes, along with cost savings.”
Designed for specific needs of the NICU, Tender-Trode Plus electrodes are made with a hydrocolloid barrier that protects the hydrogel from high humidity of the incubator. With an extended wear time of 6 days, they feature a gentle, hypoallergenic cloth and adhesives. Tender-Trode Plus electrodes are radiolucent and ensure patient comfort and quality tracings, and also are available as a Mini Prewired ECG Sensor.
Utton added, “This agreement also makes our Defibrillation Standardization program available to Premier members. The program standardizes a facility to one product, helping them take a step toward providing the safest patient experience during emergency situations.”
Vermed is the fourth-largest supplier of disposable electrodes and related supplies used in electrocardiography, impedance cardiography and other diagnostic procedures. The company provides top-of the-line electrodes to a diverse client base of more than 4,000 medical suppliers, facilities and physicians.
The Premier healthcare alliance serves more than 2,500 US hospitals and 76,000-plus healthcare sites. Approximately 200 hospitals and health systems created and entirely own the Premier alliance.
